Lisa M. Coccoli, Dir of Sales and Operations
Lisa has been with the Resort for over 25 years. She began her career at the Resort as Director of Catering and entered into Boca By Design in 2001. As Catering Director she oversaw resort catering as well as four country club properties. Prior to the Resort Lisa worked for both Hyatt and Marriott Hotels opening many properties as well as trouble shooting properties on the task force team. Her passion is hospitality and creating memories for clients and guests.

Lisa had directed the team here at Boca By Design since 2001 expanding markets and territories to enable us to provide a more one stop shop experience for our customer. She is dedicated to her team and continually strives to improve the operation as well as its profitability while creating an inspiring environment for our team to thrive.

Lisa was born and raised in Moon Township, Pennsylvania where she graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor’s degree in Personnel management and minor in Hospitality.

Mariel Mackintosh-Eldridge, CMP Senior Corporate Events Designer

Mariel joined the Boca by Design team as a Special Events Designer in 2007. As one of the Special Events Designers, Mariel handles corporate functions and some social. Mariel is incredibly experienced and knows just the right touches to make your event perfect.
Mariel’s experience with events in South Florida began in 2002 when she was hired as a Catering & Convention Coordinator at the Boca Resort. Shortly after, she was promoted to the department manager. Mariel played an instrumental role with VIP groups, including many fortune 500 companies and groups consisting of over 1,000+ attendees. In 2005, she made her move to our sister property and became a Convention Manager at Hilton Marina and Hyatt Regency Pier 66 in Ft. Lauderdale. Mariel is a CMP member in addition to being involved in MPI and ISES.
Mariel made her way back to the Boca Resort in 2007 and joined the Boca by Design team. Mariel enjoys introducing new clients to all BBD has to offer and brainstorming on creative ideas with repeat clients. Mariel is very passionate about her career as an Event Designer and is a new mom. This August marked Mariel’s 13-year anniversary with the company. We are very happy to have her on our team!

Perri Landsberg, Corporate Events Designer

Perri joined the Boca by Design Team in 2015 as a Special Events Designer for corporate functions. With work experience at large New York City firms, and most recently a career as the Creative Director at a South Florida DMC for four years, she has vast experience and knowledge of all that South Florida has to offer.
Perri was born and raised in New York, and graduated from the University of Tampa. She has a passion for creativity, design and fashion which is critical in designing unique and beautiful client events.

Leigh Botha, Corporate Events Designer
Leigh joined the Boca by Design team in 2011 as their Purchasing Agent where she learned to stay current with the most up to date products, trends and designs in the South Florida special events market. In 2015 she was moved into the role of Special Events Designer for corporate functions, which allows her to utilize that knowledge in helping her clients events always be the on the cutting edge. Leigh’s experience prior included a prestigious local country club where she was a hospitality coordinator and beverage supervisor for three years.
Graduating with her bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management from the University of Central Florida Rosen College, Leigh has always been one to set and accomplish goals. This dedication can be seen in the service she gives her clients and the attention to detail she carries out in her events.

Carlos Marquez , Social Events Designer
Carlos joined Boca By Design as a floral designer in 2001, after 2 years working with the company he was called to join the team at The Breakers hotel where he became the head designer for five years. In 2008 Carlos came back to Boca By design as the flower shop manager where he managed our floral team in 2013. After over 20 years of experience in the industry he joined the Special Event Designer’s Team in Boca By Design.
Carlos was born and raised in Puerto Rico. After graduating from the University of Puerto Rico he started his designing career working as a floral designer in small event companies and also as a set decorator for movies, tv commercials and music videos for 3 years. He moved to South Florida in 1999 where he started working as a floral designer for Atlas Floral Decorators. For the past 16 years he has been creating beautiful affairs in our area specializing in high end designs for weddings, bar/bat/b’nai mitzvahs, private events and corporate events.

William Summerlin, Social Events Designer
Bill has had an extensive career planning weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs, private, corporate and charity events- many at the Boca Resort and Club. After owning his own event company for many years, he worked for premiere design companies in South Florida. He has designed for top social clientele, prominent galas and celebrities from all over the world.

As a social manager of the Boca by Design Team. “ I feel fortunate to be able to do what I absolutely love ,”he says. “I get to create fantasy and help people celebrate milestones, all while being creative. It is gratifying to transform a traditional space into an extraordinary environment.”

Bill Summerlin was born in Fort Lauderdale. He studied art at Florida Atlantic University. Most of his adult life has been spent in Boca Raton after falling in love with The Boca Raton Resort and Club.

His love of art has steered him towards event and floral design. He has also taught floral design and has helped many of his student’s open shops and get employment in the floral design field all over the country.

Adriana Macias, Floral Manager
Adriana joined Boca by Design originally in 2006 as our Floral Supervisor for two years. She then joined a premier south Florida company to further his knowledge and skills in the event industry. In 2013 Adriana rejoined Boca By Design as our floral manager where she manages a team of talented floral designers. Adriana has extensive experience in high end events working with top designers throughout south Florida. She was born in Colombia where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. At UNAB.

Her years of experience in buying and importing skills as well as managing a team greatly contribute to Boca By Designs success. Her incredibly talented design sense provides Boca By Design with a style like no other.

Christian Leiva, Production Manager

Christian joined Boca by Design in 2014 as Production Manager where he manages a team of twenty to install and enhance events. His background in the event industry comes from over 5 years of experience having worked for one of south Florida’s premiere event companies. Being involved in the operations of setting up and breaking down hundreds of events has helped him develop his strong operational and planning skills.

Christian was born and raised in South Florida, and graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor’s degree in Management & Marketing. His strong work ethic, leadership skills and ability to execute multiple events on a daily basis ensures his success in putting together all of your events.
